WHAT IS DRY EYE?

Dry Eye Disease (DED) is a common condition where your eyes don’t produce enough quality tears to stay properly lubricated. This can lead to discomfort, blurred vision, and even long-term eye damage if left untreated. It affects people of all ages but becomes more prevalent with age or lifestyle factors.

HOW IS DRY EYE CAUSED?

The Meibomian Glands are located inside your eyelids, these glands produce tears that keep your eyes healthy. If they deteriorate, they may fail to create a tear film that is strong enough to protect your eyes from drying. Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) is thought to cause the majority of Dry Eye disease
