What is an OCT Scan?
An Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Scan looks out for the early signs of a range of eye conditions like Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration. More and more Laubman & Pank stores are acquiring the technology for these eye tests every day.
An OCT scan takes a detailed 3D image of the area below the surface of your retina, so we can really examine the state of your eye health. Nothing touches your eyes as you look into the machine and there are no puffs of air or flashes of bright light. Your Optometrist will discuss the results with you and keep your details on file to refer back to at your next eye examination, to check for any changes we would need to monitor, or to refer you for treatment.
