What is an Astigmatism Test?
Astigmatism tests are a great way to find out whether the front surface of your eye, your cornea, has an irregular curvature causing a “spread of light”.
The tests can be taken with or without glasses, and involve covering one eye at a time and looking at a series of black lines on a white surface. If some lines appear to be darker than others, astigmatism may be present. While home tests are effective, the best way to get a diagnosis is by taking the eye examination with an optometrist.
